Inauguration of PAN African e-Network Sites at Cameroon on 22nd July 2010

The PAN African e-Network Sites of Cameroon were officially inaugurated on 22nd July 2010 by H.E. Jean-Pierre BIYITI bi ESSAM, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications representing the Prime Minister H.E. Philemon Yang. This was in the presence of the Ministers of Public Health and Higher Education, the Honorary Consul General of India in Cameroon and H.E. Mahesh Sachdev, the Indian High Commissioner to Cameroon based in Nigeria.

The ceremony took place in the campus of University of Yaounde I. During the occasion, an inaugural lecture was given by Professor Bruno BEKOLO EBE, Rector of the University of Douala. This lecture was followed from different Learning Centers (LC), the local LC, the delegates and the Invitees.
The Patient End Location (PEL) based at the University Teaching Hospital of Yaounde was also visited and a demonstration of Continuous Medical Education (CME) and tele consultation were carried out with the Nanavati Super Specialty Hospital (SSH), Mumbai.

All the dignitaries were delighted to see the infrastructure and various facilities provided in the Pan-African e-Network sites.
